I am looking up schools that teach ballroom dancing; and maybe minuets and stuff like that!!

Anyone besides me?? It looks fun; but hard!

I'm lucky - my college has a wonderful social dance program. I took a course called "History of the Waltz" which covered a lot of older partner dance forms. I'm currently in a social dance performance group that plays around with different social dance forms and music. One of my favorite pieces we do combines schottische (a nineteenth-century social dance) with music and moves from a 'bollywood' film.

If you have a chance to take classes in any sort of social dance, I highly recommend it! It's so fun!

If you're middle-school age and live in or near a fairly large city, there is probably a junior cotillion you can join. You get to/have to (depending on who you ask) learn ballroom dancing as well as new dances. It's one of those things the girls like and the boys hate.

Oooh, I'd love to find a place to learn fun, old-fashioned dances like that. I always wanted there to be at least once school dance like that in high school. Yeah right!

I don't know about Ballroom Dancing but if you live in a city, you can go to a Finishing School and they teach that there.
